Community Guidelines

WorkMates works because people show up with generosity and respect. These guidelines keep it that way. They are part of our Terms & Conditions — breaking them can lead to content being removed or an account being suspended.

The spirit of WorkMates

Everyone here is figuring something out, and everyone has something to share. Ask openly, help honestly, and treat every WorkMate the way you would want to be treated when you are the one asking.

Do

• Be respectful, patient, and constructive.
• Share real experience and honest opinions — including what did not work for you.
• Be clear that your input is your own view, not a guarantee.
• Respect people's time; reply when you can, and it is fine to say no.
• Keep what is shared in private messages private.

Don't

• Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against anyone.
• Post hateful, violent, sexual, or otherwise illegal content.
• Spam, advertise, recruit, or use WorkMates to sell products or services.
• Impersonate someone or misrepresent your experience.
• Share other members' personal information without their consent.
• Give advice you know to be harmful, or present regulated advice (legal, financial, medical) as if you are qualified when you are not.
• Scrape, hack, or misuse the platform or its data.

Reporting a problem

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, or a message makes you uncomfortable, report it to us at hello@workmates.ch with the member's name and, where possible, a screenshot or description. We review every report and will not penalise you for raising a genuine concern.

What happens after a report

We look into reports as quickly as we can. Depending on what we find, we may contact the member, remove content, issue a warning, or suspend or close the account. Serious or illegal behaviour may be reported to the relevant authorities.
